“Arachnophobia” is a vivid image of a large green spider dallying on a bright yellow flower. We believe it is a Green Lynx Spider (Peucetia Viridans), although the artist says it was much larger then the half inch normal to the species. A powerful composition of color and life, this dramatic photograph will draw the eye and delight the imagination of all who see it.
The photographer did not touch up the colors on this picture; both the red and yellow flower and the white and green spider, with delicate, almost glass-like legs, are true to life. The computer image does not do the colors of this photograph justice!
This spider was found in a garden in Southern California. It waited patiently while the artist prepared his camera, and thus you have such an incredibly sharp and dazzlingly bright image.
